Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dinsdale Pirhana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Trik Turner - Friends and Family kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dinsdale Pirhana has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pirhana circles away quickly and effectively.
Pirhana cracks Alves with an open hand slap.
Alves shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pirhana stuffs the takedown attempt from Alves. Alves gets slowly back to his feet.
Alves has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pirhana finds it's way round the side to connect with Alves's head.
Pirhana bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Pirhana misses with a two punch combination.
Pirhana ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Alves fails to land with a series of punches.
Alves shoots in for a takedown but Pirhana shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dinsdale Pirhana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddy Alves.
Pirhana lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Alves throws an overhand right that lands on Pirhana's shoulder, as Pirhana tries to avoid the shot.

Pirhana closes the distance and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pirhana goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pirhana lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Alves backwards.

Alves tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Pirhana keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Alves's efforts to push away.

Pirhana scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Pirhana is pressed up against the cage. Alves has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pirhana down to the mat. Pirhana avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pirhana throws a nice looking combination but Alves bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Freddy Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alves throws a right hand that Pirhana ducks under and follows up with a left that Pirhana also avoids with ease.
Alves throws a hook to the side of Pirhana's head but Pirhana sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pirhana slips under a jab from Alves.
Alves feints a jab promting Pirhana to slip. Alves then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pirhana slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Alves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pirhana moves away.
Dinsdale Pirhana is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alves misses with the combination.
Alves misses with a series of wild punches.
Alves is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Alves looks gassed!
Pirhana throws a body punch but Alves moves out of range.
Alves swinging wildly here.
Pirhana moves in looking to clinch but Alves pushes him off.
Alves throws a hook to the side of Pirhana's head but Pirhana sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pirhana lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Pirhana digs a good hook to Alves's body.
Pirhana walks into a left hand.
Alves swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alves takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Alves circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pirhana ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Pirhana lands a nice shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Alves swats away the attempt to clinch by Pirhana.

Pirhana throws a leg kick which misses Alves's front leg but catches the back leg as Alves tries to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pirhana looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pirhana throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pirhana lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Pirhana scores with a head kick. Alves tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Pirhana cracks a nice hook into Alves's ribs.
Pirhana really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pirhana lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Pirhana slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Alves chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pirhana can pounce on him.
Pirhana displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alves throws out the jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Alves takes a shot to the head.
Pirhana lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dinsdale Pirhana dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That kick from Pirhana tenderised Alves's leg. Alves is trying to keep his angry face on.
The fighters circling - Alves throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pirhana fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alves.
Freddy Alves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Alves misses with a looping left.
Pirhana scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pirhana connects with an inside leg kick.
Pirhana lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pirhana.

Alves is rocked!
Pirhana is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Pirhana shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Alves takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Pirhana sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Alves bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
