The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - de Sapi finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
de Sapi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
de Sapi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. de Sapi gets slowly back to his feet.

and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Johnson blocks a head kick by de Sapi.
Johnson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces de Sapi back to the cage. Johnson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Juan de Sapi has been cut.

Johnson misses with a punch on the inside.
de Sapi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.

Johnson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Johnson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite de Sapi's efforts to push away.

Johnson scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
de Sapi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A lazy left from de Sapi finds it's target.

and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Oooooh!!! Johnson has knocked de Sapi down with a huge combo! Johnson steps away and waves a wobbly de Sapi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

OH! de Sapi has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Johnson smells blood and charges in for the finish! Johnson unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of de Sapi sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
