Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DJ Dee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dee did well to prevent Johnson getting side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Dee is defending against the submission attempts here by Johnson.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dee is trying to maintain the position but Johnson is very close to passing his half guard.
Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Johnson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dee is just riding it out for now. Johnson eventually gives up the hold.

Johnson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dee is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dee and Johnson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Johnson is trying to control Dee's posture but Dee avoids it.

Dee goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Johnson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dee but great work by Johnson.
Dee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Johnson wants to stand but Dee is controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dee wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Dee looking for a triangle here. Johnson is fighting it but it looks tight! Dee pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Johnson is tapping out - this one is all over!
