Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Zhukov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hatzu Hayoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhukov comes to the cage accompanied by Russian Army Choir - National Anthem of the Russian Federation. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayoki throws a head kick that misses.
Zhukov lands with a straight right. Hayoki didn't see that one coming.
No luck for Hayoki with that takedown attempt.
Zhukov lands a nice shot that snaps Hayoki's head back.

It looks like Hatzu Hayoki has been cut.
Zhukov connects with a solid leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zhukov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hayoki on the side of the head.

Zhukov gets caught flat footed, as Hayoki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hayoki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hayoki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Zhukov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Zhukov has escaped and now he's on top!

Zhukov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Hayoki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hayoki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zhukov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zhukov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hayoki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Hayoki had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zhukov defends it easily.

Zhukov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hayoki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zhukov has managed to get both his arms back between Hayoki's legs - danger averted.
Hayoki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zhukov lands a big head kick that sends Hayoki tumbling to the mat! Zhukov takes a step backwards and waves Hayoki back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hayoki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hayoki shoots in for a takedown but Zhukov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hayoki has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Zhukov.
Hayoki seems to have recovered his senses.
Zhukov lands a leg kick that knocks Hayoki off balance momentarily.
Zhukov looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Zhukov backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Hayoki's temple! It sends Hayoki violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Zhukov celebrates and the doctors try to help Hayoki!

Ivan Zhukov took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
