These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katsumoto misses with a hook to the body
and Pabin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pabin lands a glancing blow to the side of Katsumoto's head.
Katsumoto looks to clinch
and Pabin counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Pabin throws a hook but Katsumoto avoids it easily.
Katsumoto looks for a takedown but Pabin sprawls well.
Katsumoto doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pabin counters with a series of strikes. Katsumoto will be more careful next time no doubt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Katsumoto closes the distance but Pabin moves to the side
and Pabin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Katsumoto misses with a takedown attempt
and Pabin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimiko Katsumoto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pabin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Katsumoto darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Katsumoto is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Pabin manages to get to full guard.
Katsumoto is breathing heavily.
Katsumoto looking to sit in guard and control but Pabin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pabin gets to his feet. Katsumoto looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

enabling Pabin to counter with a crisp jab.

Pabin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Katsumoto moves away.
Katsumoto takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pabin dances in with a quick combination. Katsumoto is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Pabin snaps Katsumoto's head back. Katsumoto stumbles backwards against the cage. Pabin steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Katsumoto's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Katsumoto just didn't come prepared.
