Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Brigante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taika Lono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brigante comes to the cage accompanied by LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carlito Brigante !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Taika Lono!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lono swings for the body but Brigante moves out of range.
Lono tries to bum rush Brigante with a series of wild strikes but Brigante uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lono misses with a body shot.

and Lono takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Brigante looks to land a left hand but Lono moved out of range nicely.
Lono looks to score with a jab to the body but Brigante is just out of range.
Brigante misses with a wild combination.
Lono getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Brigante tries to clinch there but Lono circles away.
Brigante lands a jab to the nose.
Brigante lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brigante throws a combination. Lono tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lono throws out a leg kick but Brigante moves out of range and Lono only half commits.
Lono misses with a hook.
Taika Lono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick by Lono misses
and Brigante counters with a stiff right hand.
Lono throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A cross from Brigante lands.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lono takes a swing at Brigante 's ribcage but misses.
Lono misses with a left hand
enabling Brigante to counter with a crisp jab.

Lono is rocked!
Lono looks gassed!
Lono thows a body shot but no joy.
A clash of legs there as Brigante blocks the low kick.

and Brigante counters with a slapping leg kick.

Lono is still on wobbly legs! Can Brigante finish him?
Brigante works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lono crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brigante - the referee stops the clock and Lono gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brigante . Lono manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brigante gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Lono seems to have recovered his senses.
Brigante makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Brigante gets through Lono's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lono swings wildly with an uppercut but Brigante uses good head movement to avoid it.

Brigante escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brigante lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brigante is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Lono flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Lono is out cold! Brigante holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

A very excited looking Carlito Brigante rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
