PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willy Cody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coleman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eminem - Mosh. Willy Cody had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Willy Cody!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Tito Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coleman.
Nice takedown defense from Cody. No joy for Coleman on that attempt.
Horrible takedown by Coleman or perhaps it was just good defense by Cody which made him look bad.
Willy Cody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito Coleman.
Coleman tries to clinch up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cody will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Coleman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cody makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Coleman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Coleman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cody can pounce on him.
Cody keeps the fight on the outside.
Cody fails with an attempt to clinch.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Coleman landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Coleman tries to pull guard but Cody forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Cody has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Coleman. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Coleman has a couple of punches blocked by Cody.
Coleman stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Cody lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Cody tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Cody tries a knee to the head but Coleman blocks it.
Cody stops a takedown attempt from Coleman.

Coleman gets control of Cody's arms and successfully pulls guard. Coleman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tito Coleman was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Coleman shoots for a double leg takedown but Cody sprawls well. He's pushed Coleman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cody throws out a leg kick but Coleman moves out of range and Cody only half commits.
Coleman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fight stays on the outside here - Coleman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Coleman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cody fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cody lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Coleman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Coleman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Cody will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Cody misses with a low kick as Coleman jumps back.
Cody throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cody throws a low kick but Coleman moves out of range easily.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cody napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Cody wants to get back to his feet but Coleman drags him back down.

Coleman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cody's shoulder. That is not cool.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Coleman sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cody is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Willy Cody.
I think Coleman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
