Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira shoots in and drives through. Santos sprawls well.
Santos looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pereira has his takedown stuffed

and Santos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pereira won't be happy with that.
Pereira is pushing Santos's head away, looking to escape. Santos manages to hold on to the position though.

Santos swings around for an armbar but Pereira sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Santos's guard.

Pereira drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Pereira off! Pereira jumps back into Santos's guard.

Pereira has his feet on Santos's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Pereira stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pereira wants it to stay on the feet.

Pereira moves into range and clinches up with Santos.

Pereira ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pereira no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pereira rushes Santos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Pereira has Santos pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pereira pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Santos tumbling to the mat - Pereira dives into Santos's guard.

Pereira drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Santos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pereira has Santos in his guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Santos has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Pereira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Santos as he jumps to the side.

Pereira throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Santos was covering up waiting for the punch and Pereira finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pereira wants to get up but he can't break Santos's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pereira is trying to get back to his feet.

Santos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pereira is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Pereira tries to bench press Santos off him but Santos keeps the position.

Oduvaldo Pereira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Pereira swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Santos is now in Pereira's guard. A big mistake from Pereira there, giving up the dominant position!

Pereira quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Santos has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pereira celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
