Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Dirtnock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmundo Edilhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edilhson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dirtnock manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Edilhson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Dirtnock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Dirtnock counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Edilhson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Sterling Dirtnock has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Edilhson shoots for a takedown but Dirtnock saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dirtnock circles away from the clinch attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dirtnock on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Edilhson closes the distance and clinches up with Dirtnock , looking for a takedown. Edilhson pushes Dirtnock against the cage but Dirtnock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sterling Dirtnock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Edilhson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Dirtnock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Edilhson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dirtnock has managed to get both his arms back between Edilhson's legs - danger averted.
Edilhson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Edilhson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dirtnock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Edilhson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dirtnock doesn't defend quickly enough and Edilhson has managed to lock this one up! Can Dirtnock escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Edilhson on a fantastic submission victory.
