Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Quayle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antwon Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dan Quayle has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Quayle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Antwon Dickens!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quayle tries to keep at a distance but Dickens has taken the fight into the clinch.
Quayle looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Dickens breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Dickens counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Quayle!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dickens jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Quayle manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The referee asks Dickens politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dickens prefers to stall for the moment though.
Quayle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dickens lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Dickens decides to stand up, so the ref orders Quayle to his feet.

Quayle clinches up with Dickens and pushes him back against the cage.

Dickens breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Dickens is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Quayle can't fight it off and eventually Dickens manages to take the fight to the floor. Quayle looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dickens feints and as Quayle raises his hands in defense, Dickens changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Antwon Dickens just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
