Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Cuevas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cuevas comes to the cage accompanied by Leave Us Alone/ Dead By Gun. Vaughn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Walking Tall kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Cuevas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Vaughn!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn misses with the combination.
Cuevas shoots in and drives through. Vaughn sprawls well.
Vaughn lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Tony Cuevas has been cut.
Cuevas does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Horrible takedown by Cuevas or perhaps it was just good defense by Vaughn which made him look bad.
Cuevas shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Cuevas. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Vaughn counters with a left and a right that stings Cuevas.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cuevas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vaughn swivels and escapes.
Vaughn ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cuevas is breathing heavily.
Vaughn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vaughn fails to land with a series of punches.
Vaughn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Vaughn missing with a left hand there. Cuevas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vaughn slips under a jab from Cuevas.
Cuevas throws a right and a left that Vaughn avoids nicely.
Cuevas shoots in looking for a takedown but Vaughn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cuevas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Vaughn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cuevas. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Vaughn misses with a double jab
and Cuevas counters with a series of strikes. Vaughn will be more careful next time no doubt.
Cuevas has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cuevas there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cuevas shoots in for a double leg but Vaughn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vaughn swings for the body but Cuevas moves out of range.
Vaughn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cuevas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vaughn.
Cuevas misses with a right hand
and Vaughn counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vaughn throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Cuevas crashing down! Cuevas tries to stagger back to his feet but Vaughn just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Cuevas asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Vaughn!
