Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Redofjunior Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee roi Vandusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redofjunior Castro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Castro darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Castro passes into side control, despite Vandusa's attempt to control the position.
Vandusa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Castro has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Vandusa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Castro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Castro decides to stand back up. Castro steps back and let's Vandusa get back to his feet.
Vandusa tries to clinch but Castro is having none of it.

Vandusa gets the takedown into side control.
Vandusa wants to take a breather but Castro manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Vandusa.

Vandusa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Castro manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vandusa has Castro in his guard.

Castro stands up and waves to Vandusa to follow him.

Castro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castro passes to side control.

Castro decides to stand up, so the ref orders Vandusa to his feet.
Vandusa doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Castro showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vandusa.
Castro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Vandusa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Castro won't be happy with that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vandusa just content to control the position.

A head kick from Castro lands but Vandusa takes it in his stride.
Vandusa misses with a takedown attempt - Castro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Castro tries to clinch up but Vandusa circles away and keeps his distance.

Castro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Vandusa blocks a head kick by Castro.
Castro swings and misses with a hook to the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Castro.

Vandusa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Castro has one foot on Vandusa's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Castro throws a lazy head kick

so Vandusa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Castro pushes Vandusa off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Castro throws a sloppy head kick and Vandusa moves out of range easily.

Vandusa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Castro sprawls well initially but Vandusa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Vandusa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Castro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Vandusa wants to pass the guard but Castro is defending well.
Vandusa slows the pace down in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee roi Vandusa dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Vandusa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Castro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vandusa manages to avoid it.
Castro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vandusa.
Castro closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Redofjunior Castro is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vandusa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vandusa is breathing heavily.
Vandusa moves out of range of the body kick.

Castro wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vandusa has him pressed against the cage.

Vandusa tries to pull guard but Castro holds him up against the cage and eventually Vandusa drops back down to his feet.
Redofjunior Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee roi Vandusa.

Castro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Castro stuffs the takedown attempt from Vandusa. Vandusa gets slowly back to his feet.

Castro looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Vandusa has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Castro. Oh but Vandusa has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Castro goes limp - he's gone! Vandusa jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
