Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Gabriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smirnor Valucka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valucka has chosen Waking The Demon as his entrance music. Smirnor Valucka told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valucka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gabriel tries to clinch but Valucka moves out of range.
Gabriel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gabriel showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Valucka is doing well to control the position and prevent Gabriel from advancing to side control.
Gabriel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Valucka is just riding it out for now. Gabriel eventually gives up the hold.
