The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carmelon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Carmelon digs a good body shot into Schmidt's ribs.
Schmidt has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Schmidt there as he acknowledges the shot.

It looks like Joe Schmidt has been cut.
Schmidt gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Schmidt tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Carmelon is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Schmidt buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Schmidt!! Schmidt is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Carmelon throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fausto Carmelon!
Fausto Carmelon was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
