The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okina drops back looking for a leg! Masunari is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Masunari manages to kick Okina off! Okina jumps back into Masunari's guard.
Okina drops back, looking for a kneebar! Masunari looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Masunari looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Masunari!

Okina is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Masunari has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's time! Masunari's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Masunari looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nice straight punches there by Okina. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Okina.
Masunari takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Okina misses with a hook. Masunari ducked under it nicely.

Koji Masunari is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Masunari lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Okina has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Okina and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Hiapo Okina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masunari thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Okina if he has to take too many more of those.

Okina shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Masunari but Masunari pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Koji Masunari has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiapo Okina.

Horrible takedown by Okina or perhaps it was just good defense by Masunari which made him look bad.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Masunari gets caught napping as Okina dives in and scores a takedown. Masunari manages to retain guard.
