The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gordeau gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Poldi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Poldi trying to control the position from guard on top but Gordeau is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Poldi prevents Gordeau from getting back to his feet.

Poldi stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Poldi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gordeau as he avoids it easily.
Gordeau scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gordeau jabs Poldi to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gordeau clobbers Poldi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Gordeau throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Poldi is breathing heavily.
Gordeau ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gordeau dips to his left and cracks Poldi with an uppercut!
Gordeau lands a nice looking body shot.
Gordeau is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Poldi rather than just go for the knockout.

Gordeau rushes Poldi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Gordeau.

Gordeau manages to break the clinch.
Gordeau stuffs the takedown attempt from Poldi. Poldi gets slowly back to his feet.

Gordeau sends Poldi crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Gordeau is motioning to the referee to let Poldi up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Poldi is rocked!
Poldi is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Gordeau doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Poldi crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Poldi's bad books for that mishap!
