The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and John wants it to stay on the feet.
Pasanen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
John will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
John takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A punch combination from John misses.
Pasanen doesn't manage to clinch there - John circles away.
John uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pasanen.
John throws a series of punches but Pasanen avoids them all with ease.
Pasanen tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Pasanen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

John is looking for a sweep. Pasanen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Pasanen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pasanen tries to pass the half guard into mount. John knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Pasanen cracks John with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Pasanen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pasanen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

It looks like Quentin John has been cut.
John wants to hold on but Pasanen pushes him away.
Pasanen looking to control but John is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
John is in a horrible position here. Pasanen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pasanen throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

John is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Pasanen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! John is forced to tap!

Spete Pasanen really struggled to get his t-shirt was on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Perkele! logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
