Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wladimir Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Six (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis comes to the ring accompanied by Racionais MCs - A Vida é Desafio. Henry Six has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wladimir Reis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wladimir Reis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henry Six!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Six misses with a low kick as Reis jumps back.
Wladimir Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Six looks to throw the jab but Reis is out of range.
Reis lands with a nice combination. Six backs away looking to recover.
Reis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Six fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Reis gets caught flat footed, as Six shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Six controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Reis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Six postures up and lands a big shot to Reis's brow.
Reis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Six controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Reis keeping moving, preventing Six from controlling successfully.
Six slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Henry Six hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Reis throws a right and a left that Six avoids nicely.
Reis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Six misses with a low kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reis checks a leg kick.
Six misses with a wild body shot.
Six throws a right and a left that Reis avoids nicely.
Six will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Six decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reis's guard.
Reis is trying to keep Six in close.
Six wants to control from the top but Reis keeps moving.

Reis looking for a guillotine here but Six defends easily.

Six chips away with some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Six trying to control the position from guard on top but Reis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Six must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Reis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Reis looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Six puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Reis manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Reis keeping moving, preventing Six from controlling successfully.
Reis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Reis really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Reis wants to sweep here but Six controlling him for the moment.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Reis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Henry Six has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Reis moves out of range as Six strikes.
Reis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Reis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Six.
Six looks for the body kick but Reis saw that one coming.
Six throws a push kick but Reis slaps the foot to one side.
Reis misses with a two punch combination.
Reis throws a body punch but Six moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reis.
Six throws a nice looking combination but Reis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Six scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reis.
Reis throws a right and a left that Six avoids nicely.
Six throws out a powerful jab.
Reis shoots in and drives through. Six sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wladimir Reis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Six.
Reis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Six sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Reis somewhat.

Six throws a hook to the side of Reis's head but Reis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Six cracks Reis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Reis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Six jabs Reis right on the nose. Reis blinks but takes it well.
Reis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Six avoids it really well and circles away.
Reis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Six.

and Six counters with a straight right hand.
Six will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Six tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Six somewhat.
Reis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Reis moves out of range as Six throws a body kick.

Six throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Six misses with an attempted mid kick.
Six leaves Reis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters circling - Six throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Six misses with a kick to the body.
Six will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Reis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Six avoids it really well and circles away.

Six closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Reis's guard.
Reis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Six's guard.
Six wants to sweep but no luck.
Six is adopting a defensive guard.
Six working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reis.
Reis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Six is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Six pulls Reis in close to prevent any damage.
Reis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Six swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reis with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Reis being controlled here momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Six showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Reis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Six!

Reis throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Reis misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Six is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Six tries to lock up and control but Reis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Reis throwing strikes here but Six is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Reis cracks Six with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Reis avoids the attempt from Six to control.
Poor strikes thrown by Reis there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Six is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Reis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Six can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Six is squirming around, avoiding Reis's attempts to control the action.
Six is trying to escape the mount.

Reis throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Reis thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Reis throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Henry Six has got the better of the ground game so far.
Six keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Reis trying to control but he's not successful this time.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Reis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Six is looking to escape.

Reis trying to control but Six is having none of it.
Reis avoids the attempt from Six to control.
Six is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Reis is staying active.
Six can't escape the position.
Six blocking the ground and pound.
Reis looking to ground and pound but Six is blocking nicely.

Six wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Reis.
Six sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Reis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I think Six has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Henry Six decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
