Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Breekman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Jose Moreno Cuenca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moreno Cuenca has chosen Yo, el vaquilla as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonas Breekman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Jose Moreno Cuenca! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moreno Cuenca swings for the body but Breekman moves out of range.
Moreno Cuenca shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Moreno Cuenca is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Moreno Cuenca working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Moreno Cuenca prevents Breekman from improving his position. Moreno Cuenca trying to advance position but Breekman counters by regaining guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moreno Cuenca controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Moreno Cuenca has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Moreno Cuenca wants to pass the guard but Breekman is keeping the position. Moreno Cuenca is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Juan Jose Moreno Cuenca wasn't active enough on the ground. Moreno Cuenca throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Breekman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Juan Jose Moreno Cuenca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moreno Cuenca has closed the distance and engaged Breekman in a clinch.
Moreno Cuenca is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Breekman tries to land a knee to the head but Moreno Cuenca blocks with his arms.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Breekman throws a head kick that misses. Moreno Cuenca takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Moreno Cuenca clinches. Nice body punch from Moreno Cuenca. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Breekman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Breekman is trying to force a seperation but Moreno Cuenca has the dominant position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Moreno Cuenca can do anything to dispel that myth.

Moreno Cuenca seems keen to control Breekman's posture. Moreno Cuenca is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Moreno Cuenca has Breekman pulled in close to control his posture. Breekman is rocked! Moreno Cuenca lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Oh Breekman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Breekman throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Moreno Cuenca blocks it with crossed arms. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Breekman is trying to break free. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breekman takes an elbow to the temple. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Moreno Cuenca obliges. Moreno Cuenca drops Breekman onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Breekman is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Moreno Cuenca crunches a lovely knee into Breekman's ribcage. Moreno Cuenca pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Breekman! Moreno Cuenca unloads with more strikes and Breekman sinks to his knees! This one is all over!
