Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batista's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I WALK ALONE. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cormier but Cormier pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Horrible takedown by Batista or perhaps it was just good defense by Cormier which made him look bad.

Batista lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cormier!

Batista is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cormier is surviving well by controlling Batista's body position as best he can.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Batista is looking to stand up but Cormier won't let him.

No joy there for Cormier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Cormier looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Batista can't hide his disappointment, as Cormier celebrates the victory.
