The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gold closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gold tries to throw a body punch but Valquez avoids it by throwing Gold back against the cage.

Valquez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gold is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Valquez to the mat. Valquez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
