The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Armstrong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Oooooh!!! Armstrong has knocked Williamson down with a huge combo! Armstrong steps away and waves a wobbly Williamson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Simon Williamson has been cut.
Armstrong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Williamson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Armstrong wants to clinch up but Williamson keeps it at a distance.

Williamson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Armstrong is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Armstrong has escaped and now he's on top!

Williamson has his foot on Armstrong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Armstrong works his way back into a safe position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Williamson is on top in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Williamson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Armstrong swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Armstrong throws a series of punches but Williamson avoids them all with ease.

Williamson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Williamson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Williamson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Armstrong looks calm but he's in trouble here. Williamson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Armstrong is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Williamson lets go of the hold and Armstrong can pop his arm back in it's socket.
