PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rasmus Helenius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhan Meremaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helenius comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem: Not Afraid. Juhan Meremaa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meremaa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Helenius swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Helenius comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A jab from Helenius does it's job there.
Meremaa takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Helenius displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Meremaa.
Helenius stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Meremaa walks into a stiff left hand from Helenius.
Meremaa moves away from the strike by Helenius.
Meremaa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Meremaa thows a body shot but no joy.
Meremaa swings away with a body shot that misses
and Helenius counters with a nice body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Meremaa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Helenius doesn't seem bothered though.
Rasmus Helenius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meremaa swings for the body but Helenius moves out of range.
Meremaa blocks a jab.
Meremaa ducks under a wild hook from Helenius.
Helenius cracks Meremaa with an open hand slap.
Meremaa on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Meremaa is rocked!
Helenius is stalking Meremaa. Meremaa circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Helenius, and it's lights out! Meremaa really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
