Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucentus Darklance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aulis Makkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makkonen has chosen Metsämiehen Laulu as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darklance closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Makkonen to the mat! Makkonen manages to get full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Makkonen is on top in guard.

Darklance is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Makkonen passes Darklance's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Makkonen passes into side control, despite Darklance's attempt to control the position.

Makkonen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Makkonen wants to control but Darklance is keeping him busy.

Makkonen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Darklance has escaped the position, nice work there.

Darklance manages to get back to half guard.
Darklance pushes Makkonen off looking to stand but Makkonen dives back in and keeps control.
Makkonen is keen to just control but Darklance is a slippery customer.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Makkonen trying to control from half guard but Darklance is working away.
Makkonen wants to pass the guard but Darklance is defending well.

Makkonen uses his free foot to push down on Darklance's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Darklance.
Makkonen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Darklance is looking to escape.

Darklance is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Makkonen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Darklance is forced to tap!
