Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sludge Guts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jasper Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sludge Guts has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Guts darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Cannon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Guts throwing strikes from guard but Cannon blocks nicely.

Cannon is looking for a triangle but Guts pushes his legs off easily.
Guts trying to control but Cannon is working from the bottom.
Guts keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cannon's head.

Guts drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guts jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cannon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Cannon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Guts's guard.

Cannon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Guts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cannon is taking a breather. Guts says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Guts gets back to full guard.
Guts is trying to keep Cannon in close.

Guts pushes Cannon off and scrambles back to his feet.

Guts drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Guts postures up.
Cannon wants to stand and escape but Guts is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cannon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Cannon scores with a three punch combo!

It looks like Sludge Guts has been cut.
Sludge Guts is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Cannon takes the fight into the clinch.
Guts is looking to control Cannon's arms but Cannon gets an underhook and turns him. Now Guts has his back to the cage.

Cannon unloads a knee to the mid-section. Guts lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Cannon turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cannon manages to end up in side control.

Guts makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guts.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Guts holds on and takes a little breather.

Cannon decides to stand and escape the position.

Cannon tries to work over Guts's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Guts has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cannon uses from the top position.

Guts had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cannon is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Guts Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cannon's back instead.
