The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tinker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Scheisse is looking to chop away at Tinker's legs.
Scheisse misses with a lunging right hand
and Tinker counters with a stiff right hand.
Scheisse misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tinker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Good work by Scheisse as he checks the leg kick.
Scheisse lands a glancing blow to the side of Tinker's head.
Tinker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Scheisse throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

and Tinker counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Scheisse takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Scheisse closes the distance but Tinker moves to the side

and Tinker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tinker slips nicely into half guard.

Tinker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Scheisse wants to control but Tinker is keeping busy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Scheisse is not content to let Tinker control the position.

Scheisse makes his way to full guard, as Tinker worked for a kimura.
Scheisse wants to stand and escape but Tinker is having none of it.
Tinker cracks Scheisse with a solid left hand.
Tinker thows a big elbow that misses.
Tinker scoring with some ground and pound.
Scheisse wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Tinker postures up in Scheisse's guard and throws a big left but Scheisse blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scheisse wants to sweep here but Tinker controlling him for the moment.

Scheisse uses the cage to get back to his feet.
An inside leg kick lands from Tinker.
A low kick from Scheisse misses
and Tinker counters with an inside leg kick.

Scheisse pushes Tinker up against the cage in a clinch.
Scheisse misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tinker.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Scheisse throws an elbow but it misses.
Scheisse wants to stall.
Scheisse tries to land a knee to the head but Tinker blocks with his arms.
Scheisse tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tinker avoids it.
Scheisse is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tinker is defending well for now.

Tinker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Michael Scheisse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Scheisse fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tinker throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Scheisse will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Scheisse lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tinker circles away quickly and effectively.
Scheisse throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tinker.
Scheisse throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Scheisse misses with a wild body shot.
Michael Scheisse is winning the standup battle so far.
Scheisse lands a slapping body shot.
Tinker avoids the body shot from Scheisse.
Tinker takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tinker takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Scheisse lands a big head kick that sends Tinker tumbling to the mat! Scheisse takes a step backwards and waves Tinker back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like The Tinker has been cut.
Scheisse lands with a nice body kick.
Tinker is still on wobbly legs! Can Scheisse finish him?

Scheisse throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Tinker is breathing heavily.
Scheisse scores with a kick to the midsection.
Tinker get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Tinker stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Scheisse runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
