PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Dawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Dawn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morrison gets caught flat footed, as Dawn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Morrison kicks Dawn off and gets to his feet.
No joy there for Morrison, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A left and a right from Morrison both land. Nice combination.
Jim Morrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morrison darts in and clinches Dawn up against the cage.

Dawn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Morrison is just riding it out for now. Dawn eventually gives up the hold.

Morrison shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dawn's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Morrison lands a nice looking kick to the body. Dawn takes a step back to recover.

Morrison shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dawn eats them both and turns towards Morrison to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
