Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kashihiro Akiyama!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Akiyama drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lima is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Akiyama avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lima manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lima is working for a guillotine from mount but Akiyama frees his head quite easily.
Akiyama keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Akiyama sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Akiyama is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Lima seems to be working for a kimura but Akiyama defends the submission attempt.
Akiyama is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lima's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lima's back!

Akiyama has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lima has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Akiyama is trying to stick to Lima's back but Lima is turning into Akiyama. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Akiyama's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lima.
Lima tries to stand but Akiyama is controlling from the bottom.

Akiyama has his foot on Lima's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lima works his way back into a safe position though.

Lima drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lima jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lima's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Akiyama had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lima is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Akiyama Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lima's back instead.

Lima is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Akiyama working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Akiyama looking for the choke but no joy.

Akiyama is persistently looking for the submission but Lima is defending it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lima manages to reverse the position and now he's in Akiyama's guard. Nice work there by Lima.
Lima tries to stand but Akiyama is controlling from the bottom.

Akiyama has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lima can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
