Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Edwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Rycardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricky Rycardo!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rycardo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rycardo showed some decent athleticism there.
Edwin tries to kick Rycardo off but Rycardo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Rycardo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Edwin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Edwin is looking to escape.

Rycardo seems to be working for a kimura but Edwin defends the submission attempt.

Rycardo decides to stand up.
Edwin tries to clinch up but Rycardo circles away and keeps his distance.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rycardo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Edwin as he jumps to the side.
The crowd cheers as Rycardo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Edwin doesn't seem phased though.

Rycardo closes the distance and pushes Edwin back into the cage.
Edwin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rycardo gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Rycardo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Paul Edwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rycardo tests Edwin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Edwin throws the kick towards the body but Rycardo avoids it.
Rycardo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rycardo, as that shot connected.

Rycardo pushes Edwin up against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rycardo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Edwin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Edwin shoots in looking for a takedown but Rycardo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Edwin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Edwin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Edwin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rycardo thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Edwin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rycardo won't let Edwin get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Rycardo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Edwin wants to hold on but Rycardo pushes him away.
Edwin is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Poor strikes thrown by Rycardo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Edwin is rocked!

Edwin takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Rycardo's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
