Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ignacio Kocherlakota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drysdale has chosen Jadakiss - The Champ Is Here as his entrance music. The key to victory for Ignacio Kocherlakota has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Drysdale!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kocherlakota throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Drysdale counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kocherlakota's guard now.
Drysdale tries to free his leg and advance position but Kocherlakota is retaining full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Ignacio Kocherlakota wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Drysdale shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kocherlakota as he jumps to the side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kocherlakota is trying to control the action in half guard but Drysdale is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ignacio Kocherlakota will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drysdale has gone for a leg lock! Kocherlakota slips out almost immediately though and dives into Drysdale's guard.

I think Drysdale has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
