Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jowdi Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Troy Nelson!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall lands a slapping body shot.
Marshall misses with the combination.
Marshall throws a nice looking combination but Nelson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jowdi Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson fails with a takedown attempt.
Jab, jab by Marshall - just one landing.
Nelson misses with a takedown attempt
and Marshall counters with a left to the body.
Marshall stuffs the takedown.
Jowdi Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Troy Nelson.
Marshall connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nelson momentarily.
Nelson takes one to the side of the head.
Nelson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nelson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Marshall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Nelson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Marshall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nelson tries to move into range but Marshall moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck for Nelson with that takedown attempt.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown but Marshall shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Marshall drops Nelson with a left right combo! Marshall follows him down to the ground into side control.


Nelson is rocked!
Nelson looks gassed!

Marshall decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nelson is still on wobbly legs! Can Marshall finish him?
Marshall connects with a superb combination that knocks Nelson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Marshall before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Nelson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jowdi Marshall!
During a confident post fight interview, Jowdi Marshall thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
