Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Omar Avelar!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flodder closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Avelar did well to prevent Flodder getting side control.

Flodder is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Flodder is working for a kimura but Avelar is defending it quite comfortably.

Flodder is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Avelar!

Avelar wants to hold on but Flodder pushes him away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Flodder misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Poor strikes thrown by Flodder there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Flodder tries to score a power double leg takedown but Avelar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Flodder somewhat.

Flodder shoots in looking for a takedown. Avelar tries to sprawl out of it but Flodder keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Avelar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
