Cuevas comes to the cage accompanied by Leave Us Alone/ Dead By Gun. Jimmy Heathen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tony Cuevas's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heathen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cuevas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Cuevas misses.
Cuevas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Heathen sprawls well. Heathen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cuevas gets slowly back to his feet.

Heathen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Heathen has his foot on Cuevas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cuevas works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tony Cuevas will probably get the nod.

Cuevas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Heathen.
Heathen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Heathen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Cuevas takes the fight into the clinch.
Heathen stops a takedown attempt from Cuevas.
Heathen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cuevas just stands there and leans against the cage.
Heathen is trying to drag Cuevas to the mat but Cuevas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cuevas creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
