Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Smith!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hoost doesn't seem bothered though.

Smith jabs Hoost to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Smith tries to sprawl but Hoost drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hoost throwing shots but Smith is blocking nicely.
Smith gets full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hoost got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoost has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hoost cracks Smith with a solid left hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hoost lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hoost wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Hoost tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard.
Hoost landing with the ground and pound.
Hoost working some strikes from top position.

Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hoost can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hoost wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Hoost works over Smith with some ground and pound from guard.

Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hoost stands up over Smith, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hoost is working Smith over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hoost is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.


Smith is rocked!

Smith is still in real trouble! Can Hoost finish him?
Hoost is in close to Smith's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hoost loads up on a big left hand. Smith felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hoost looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Smith can't hide his disappointment, as Hoost celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ramon Hoost!
