The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacReady keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Erickson checks a leg kick nicely.
Erickson fails to land the takedown.
Erickson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Erickson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. MacReady sprawls well initially but Erickson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Erickson seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MacReady looks like he's trying to stand up.

Erickson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so MacReady is just riding it out for now. Erickson eventually gives up the hold.

Erickson wants to work for an arm triangle but MacReady is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
