Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carrington Byndom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dougie Lumsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carrington Byndom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dougie Lumsden!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Byndom or perhaps it was just good defense by Lumsden which made him look bad.

Byndom drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lumsden is trying to control Byndom's posture but Byndom avoids it.
Byndom connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lumsden some visible discomfort.

Byndom tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lumsden struggling a bit here.
Lumsden tries to improve position but can't.

You can see the frustration on Lumsden's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lumsden is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Lumsden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Byndom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lumsden can do anything to dispel that myth.

Carrington Byndom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dougie Lumsden.

Carrington Byndom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Byndom lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Lumsden tries to keep at a distance but Byndom has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lumsden shoots in for a double leg but Byndom sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lumsden fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Byndom avoids it really well and circles away.
Lumsden takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Byndom is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lumsden can do to turn this around?

Byndom shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Lumsden tries to roll over but Byndom keeps him under control.
Lumsden is not content to let Byndom control the position.

Byndom thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lumsden's head.

Byndom lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Byndom swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lumsden is now in Byndom's guard. A big mistake from Byndom there, giving up the dominant position!

Well Byndom has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
