Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Colin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Fitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fitch comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kickstart kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jon Fitch is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fitch drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Fitch controlling the position from side mount.
Fitch working the head with strikes.
Fitch throwing shots but missing, from side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Colin is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Colin is trying to control Fitch's posture but Fitch avoids it.
Fitch just content to control the position.

Fitch wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Colin, who protects the arm well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Fitch bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fitch goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Colin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fitch but great work by Colin.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fitch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Colin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fitch has managed to get both his arms back between Colin's legs - danger averted.

Well Fitch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
