PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Keller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hermann Von Duisberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Von Duisberg has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glen Keller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hermann Von Duisberg!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keller throws a sloppy head kick and Von Duisberg moves out of range easily.
Von Duisberg looks gassed!
Keller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Keller throws a head kick that misses.
Von Duisberg shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Von Duisberg misses with a head kick.
A head kick by Keller misses
and Von Duisberg counters with a leg kick.
Keller throws a head kick that misses.
Keller throws a head kick but Von Duisberg moves out of range.
Von Duisberg is looking to clinch.
Von Duisberg blocks a head kick by Keller.
Von Duisberg sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Keller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Keller does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Keller throws a head kick but Von Duisberg moves out of range.
Keller tries a head kick but it misses.

Von Duisberg takes the fight into the clinch.
Von Duisberg gets underhooks to prevent Keller's takedown attempt.
Keller tries to circle away but Von Duisberg has him pinned against the ropes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Keller takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Glen Keller has been cut.
Von Duisberg tries to land a knee to the head but Keller blocks with his arms.
Keller wants to break the clinch but can't.
Keller could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Keller wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Keller tries to land a knee to the head but Von Duisberg blocks with his arms.
Von Duisberg is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Keller blocks the elbow strike.
Keller has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Von Duisberg is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Keller jumps guard but Von Duisberg stands there with Keller around his waist. Keller gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glen Keller. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Keller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Von Duisberg pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Keller tries to pull guard but Von Duisberg holds him up against the ropes and eventually Keller drops back down to his feet.
Von Duisberg has Keller pressed against the ropes, preventing Keller from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Keller on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Keller is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Keller misses with a hook to the ribs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Keller tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Von Duisberg just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Keller has had enough of the clinch but Von Duisberg keeps him there for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Glen Keller.
I think Keller has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
