Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Spustilsya Gor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Toni Soprano!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gor wants to pass the guard but Soprano is keeping the position.
Gor throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Gor prevents Soprano from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gor showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Gor postures up in Soprano's guard and throws a big left but Soprano blocks it.
Gor trying to control the position from guard on top but Soprano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gor passes Soprano's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Soprano is trying to maintain the position but Gor is very close to passing his half guard.
Soprano taking some punishment here, with Gor in his half guard.
Gor seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Gor is keen to just control but Soprano is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gor wants to pass to mount but Soprano is defending the position.
Gor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gor has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Spustilsya Gor wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Gor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Soprano napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gor is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Soprano will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Gor tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gor creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Soprano sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Gor sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Soprano is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Gor in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gor tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Soprano takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Soprano looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gor is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Soprano's shoulder. That is not cool.
Gor works to advance to full mount. Soprano defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Gor lands a big elbow.
Gor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spustilsya Gor dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Gor lands a huge takedown. Soprano is out but the ref is slow to react and Gor lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Soprano lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spustilsya Gor!
