Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pain Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Campbell comes into the arena with We are the Champions blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Peters's choice of entrance music: BringThe Pain. Jonathan Campbell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Campbell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pain Peters!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Campbell.
Campbell throws a right hand that Peters ducks under and follows up with a left that Peters also avoids with ease.
Jonathan Campbell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Campbell wants to clinch.
Peters tries to clinch up
and Campbell counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Campbell clinches but Peters breaks the clinch

so Peters counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Peters trying to control but Campbell is working from the bottom.

Campbell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Peters gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Peters stays in close to Campbell's body and controls the position.
Peters wants to control from the top but Campbell keeps moving.

Campbell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Peters is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Campbell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Peters's back instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Campbell throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Campbell gets his hands free as Peters looks to control.
Campbell doesn't have the hooks in and Peters manages to turn into his guard.

Campbell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Peters gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Campbell wants to clinch but Peters slips to the side

and Peters counters with a nice double leg into side control. Campbell won't be happy with that.

Peters tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Peters has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Campbell is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peters takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Campbell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Campbell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Peters is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Campbell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Peters's back instead.
Campbell is breathing heavily.
Peters turns into Campbell and is now in his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Campbell throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Peters escapes and throws Campbell's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Peters tries for a kimura but Campbell is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Peters is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Campbell knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Campbell tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Peters landing a few strikes.
Peters working the ground and pound.
Peters lands some shots froms side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Campbell on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Campbell is not content to let Peters control the position.
Peters lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Campbell is looking for a sweep.

Peters tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Peters has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Peters connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Campbell some visible discomfort.
Peters wants to control but Campbell is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Campbell trying to remain calm as Peters controls from the top position.
Let's hope that Peters has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Peters moves into full mount!
Peters content just to control the position here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Peters with the ground and pound from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pain Peters dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Campbell tries to clinch
and Peters counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Campbell moves out of range as Peters strikes.
Jonathan Campbell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Peters scores with a kick to the midsection.
Campbell throws a combination that misses
enabling Peters to counter with a crisp jab.
Peters throws out a powerful jab.
Campbell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Campbell tries to clinch but Peters moves away
and Peters counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Peters misses with a hook.
Campbell takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Peters throws a hook but Campbell blocks it.

Peters shoots in and bounces Campbell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Peters stops Campbell from standing up.
Peters controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Peters pushes down on Campbell's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peters prevents Campbell from improving his position.
Peters slows the pace down in half guard.
Peters works his way into full mount!

Peters is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Campbell is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Pain Peters!
