Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Diggler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Walk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dirk Diggler looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Dirk Diggler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Walk!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Walk lands in his opponent's guard.
Diggler looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Walk is looking to work some ground and pound but Diggler has wrist control.
Walk advances to half guard.
Walk works his way into full mount!
Walk landing strikes, looking to finish!

Walk working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Diggler is bucking up trying to escape but Walk cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Walk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Walk with a couple of short strikes.
Walk lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Walk fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Walk stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Diggler avoids the head kick by Walk.
Walk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Diggler swivels and escapes.
Walk with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Walk closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Diggler to the mat! Diggler manages to get full guard.
Walk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Diggler avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Diggler had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Walk is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Diggler Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Walk's back instead.
Walk manages to reverse the position and now he's in Diggler's guard. Nice work there by Walk.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Diggler gets caught flat footed, as Walk shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Walk looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Walk wants to pass the guard but Diggler is keeping the position.
Diggler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Diggler lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diggler stops Walk from getting back to his feet.

Walk throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Walk explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Walk fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diggler, pushing him back against the cage.

Walk has clasped his hands together around Diggler's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Walk decides to stand back up.
Walk throws a series of punches but Diggler avoids them all with ease.
Diggler throws out a loose jab but Walk uses good head movement to avoid it.
Walk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Diggler swivels and escapes.
Diggler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walk doesn't manage to clinch there - Diggler circles away.
Walk tries to close the distance and clinch but Diggler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Steve Walk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Diggler on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Walk has taken the fight to the clinch.
Walk lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Diggler can't find room to land a body shot as Walk controls the action.

Diggler controls Walk momentarily but Walk frees himself.
Walk slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Diggler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walk's guard.
Diggler wants to pass the guard but Walk is keeping the position.

Walk looking for a sweep. Not yet Walk, not yet.
Steve Walk has got the better of the ground game so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Walk wants to control the position but Diggler says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Diggler wants to advance to full mount but Walk doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Walk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Walk manages to break the clinch.
Diggler throws a head kick but Walk moves out of range.
Walk fails with the takedown.
Dirk Diggler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Walk.

Walk closes the distance and clinches.

Walk tightens his grip and picks Diggler up, before dumping him to the ground. Diggler manages to land in guard.

Steve Walk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Walk in particular looking to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Steve Walk just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Diggler fails to land the takedown.

Diggler tries to keep at a distance but Walk has taken the fight into the clinch.
Walk is pressed up against the cage. Diggler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Walk down to the mat. Walk avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Steve Walk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Walk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
