Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taj Mahal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Bartone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bartone has chosen Toto Cotugno - L'italiano as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartone throws a right hand that Mahal ducks under and follows up with a left that Mahal also avoids with ease.
Mahal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bartone as he jumps to the side.
Bartone showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mahal.
Bartone blocks the body kick.
Mahal motions for Bartone to come forward. Mahal throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bartone takes one to the chin there.
Mahal misses with an uppercut. Bartone saw that one coming.
Mahal walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bartone checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mahal swings for the body but Bartone moves out of range.
Mahal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bartone is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bartone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Check out the look on Mahal's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Mahal lands a few punches from side control.
You can see the frustration on Bartone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mahal thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mahal is trying to move to mount but Bartone reverses beautifully and ends up in Mahal's guard.
Bartone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mahal's head.
Mahal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mahal has his foot on Bartone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bartone works his way back into a safe position though.

Mahal wants to control but Bartone is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mahal makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mahal.
Mahal is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Bartone frees his head nicely. Oh but Mahal has switched to an armbar! Bartone is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
