Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karma Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasgen Umarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karma Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vasgen Umarov!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umarov stuffs the takedown.

and Burns decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Umarov's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Burns working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Umarov's head.
Umarov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Burns is one step ahead there.

Burns shoots in for a double leg but Umarov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Umarov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Burns counter with a right hand.
Burns avoids the head kick by Umarov.
Burns tries for a takedown but Umarov circles away easily
and Umarov counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burns is defended easily by Umarov.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burns shoots in for a takedown but Umarov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Burns is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Umarov pulls his head out easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Burns is pulling down on Umarov's head. It's preventing any offense from Umarov, at least for the moment.

Umarov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burns has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Umarov has managed to get both his arms back between Burns's legs - danger averted.

Burns has momentary wrist control but Umarov slips an elbow through the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Umarov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Vasgen Umarov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Umarov throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Umarov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Burns sprawls well initially but Umarov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Umarov is working for a kimura here but Burns manages to reverse the position and he's now in Umarov's guard.

Umarov wants to free his trapped foot but Burns is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Vasgen Umarov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Umarov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
