Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Chiet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aang Avatar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avatar has chosen An Epic as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiet shoots and misses

and Avatar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chiet won't be happy with that.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Avatar decides to stand back up.
Chiet doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Avatar counters with a left and a right that stings Chiet.
Chiet misses with a head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Avatar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Chiet tries to kick Avatar off but Avatar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Chiet tries to escape but Avatar is in control.

Avatar has his foot on Chiet's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chiet works his way back into a safe position though.

Chiet drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Avatar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chiet has Avatar in his guard.

Chiet shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Avatar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Chiet's guard now.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Aang Avatar.

Avatar drives through and clinches with Chiet against the cage.

Avatar gets control of Chiet's arms and successfully pulls guard. Avatar will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Chiet is looking to work some ground and pound but Avatar has wrist control.

Well Avatar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
