Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Baltazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perry Roscrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roscrow has chosen Big Time as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baltazar stuffs the takedown.

Roscrow shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Baltazar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Roscrow drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roscrow jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Roscrow wants to stand but Baltazar is controlling his posture from full guard.
Baltazar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roscrow on the ground.
Roscrow won't allow Baltazar to sweep him here.

Roscrow slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Perry Roscrow hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Baltazar scores with the left hand. Roscrow knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Perry Roscrow has been cut.
Roscrow tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baltazar swivels and escapes.

Roscrow tries to clinch but Baltazar is having none of it.
Baltazar throws a right hand that Roscrow ducks under and follows up with a left that Roscrow also avoids with ease.
Roscrow tries to score a power double leg takedown but Baltazar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roscrow somewhat.

Roscrow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Baltazar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The fighters circling - Baltazar throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Baltazar connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Roscrow moves away from the strike by Baltazar.
Roscrow ducks under a wild hook from Baltazar.
Baltazar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roscrow.
Baltazar throws a right and a left that Roscrow avoids nicely.
Baltazar throws a series of punches but Roscrow avoids them all with ease.

and Roscrow counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Baltazar manages to break the clinch.
Baltazar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Roscrow fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Roscrow shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Roscrow is thwarting Baltazar's attempts to control the position.
Baltazar wants to get back to his feet.

Roscrow decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Baltazar throws a lazy uppercut

and Roscrow counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Baltazar's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Roscrow seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baltazar drops Roscrow with a beautiful combination! Roscrow stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Baltazar is looking for the KO!

That has opened up Perry Roscrow's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baltazar cracks Roscrow with a left hook right on the temple and Roscrow goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Baltazar lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Roscrow is OK!
