The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Will with a lazy takedown attempt

and Desmond counters with a nice double leg into side control. Will won't be happy with that.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Desmond is looking to take a break and control but Will is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Desmond creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Will sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Desmond wants to control but Will is keeping him busy.
Desmond works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
