Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karol Krajewski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Araxis Daxon!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daxon tries to clinch but Krajewski moves out of range.
Krajewski shoots in for a double leg but Daxon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nice cross by Daxon.


It looks like Karol Krajewski has been cut.
Daxon scores with a push kick.
Krajewski is breathing heavily.
Daxon throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Daxon scores with a kick to the midsection.

Daxon moves into the clinch successfully.

Daxon gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Krajewski regains guard.
Daxon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Krajewski's guard.
Daxon is pressing down on Krajewski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Krajewski is holding on for now.

Daxon content to control rather than advance.
Daxon tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Krajewski.
Daxon not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Daxon wants to get back to his feet.
Krajewski avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Daxon.
Krajewski wants to improve his position but Daxon is controlling well.
It looks like Daxon is going to stand back up.
Daxon trying to control the pace.

Daxon thows a huge punch but Krajewski dodges it nicely.
Daxon tries to stand but can't do so whilst Krajewski controls his leg.

Daxon gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
The fight stays on the outside here - Daxon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Daxon moves into the clinch successfully.

Daxon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Daxon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Krajewski tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Daxon connects with a leg kick. Krajewski looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Daxon closes the distance and clinches.

Daxon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Daxon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Krajewski is looking for a sweep. Daxon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Daxon moves nicely into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Araxis Daxon dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Daxon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Daxon lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Daxon is working for a kimura but Krajewski is defending it quite comfortably.

Daxon lands strikes from half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Krajewski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Daxon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Daxon controlling the action here.
Daxon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krajewski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Daxon is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Krajewski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Daxon pulls his head out easily.

Daxon decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Daxon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Left hook, right uppercut from Daxon.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Daxon tries to clinch but Krajewski is having none of it.
Daxon connects with an inside leg kick.

Daxon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Krajewski is looking for a sweep.
Daxon controls the position.
Daxon tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Daxon decides to stand back up. Daxon steps back and let's Krajewski get back to his feet.
Daxon pushes Krajewski away with a front kick.
Daxon fakes the leg kick and cracks Krajewski in the body.

Daxon drives through with a takedown into guard.
Daxon wants to get up but he can't break Krajewski's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Daxon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Krajewski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daxon has managed to get both his arms back between Krajewski's legs - danger averted.

Krajewski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Daxon defends well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Daxon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Daxon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Krajewski has his feet on Daxon's thighs here. He's pushed Daxon off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Daxon screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
