Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Extor Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronan Hollace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. Hollace has chosen Outside by Staind as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ronan Hollace enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hollace.
Barnes misses with an uppercut. Hollace saw that one coming.
Barnes scores with a three punch combo!
Hollace misses with a low kick.
Barnes's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Barnes duly obliges.
Hollace jabs Barnes right on the nose. Barnes blinks but takes it well.
Barnes takes a swing at Hollace's ribcage but misses.
Hollace throws a lazy right hand but Barnes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hollace misses with a hook. Barnes ducked under it nicely.
Barnes cracks Hollace with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Barnes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hollace tries a head kick but it misses.
Hollace catches Barnes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Barnes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hollace moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Barnes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Barnes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hollace sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice takedown defense from Barnes. No joy for Hollace on that attempt.
Hollace lands with a hook. Barnes tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Barnes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hollace manages to avoid it.
Ronan Hollace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hollace scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hollace throws a hook to the side of Barnes's head but Barnes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Barnes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hollace loads up on a big right hand but Barnes slips the punch.
Hollace tests Barnes's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hollace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hollace swings for the body but Barnes moves out of range.
Barnes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hollace.

and Barnes counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Barnes tests Hollace's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hollace. Barnes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hollace cracks Barnes with an open hand slap.
Hollace tries to bum rush Barnes with a series of wild strikes but Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hollace throws a right and a left that Barnes avoids nicely.
Hollace connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Hollace tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barnes was well out of range. Poor timing from Hollace.

Hollace takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Hollace is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Barnes had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Barnes lands a really nice looking cross but Hollace seems unphased.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barnes cracks Hollace with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Hollace counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Barnes is lucky that one didn't land flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Extor Barnes will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hollace misses with a body kick.
Barnes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barnes misses with a leg kick
and Hollace counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Barnes's guard now.
Hollace postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hollace pushes down on Barnes's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hollace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barnes is just riding it out for now. Hollace eventually gives up the hold.
Hollace is trying to control. Barnes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Barnes is trying to maintain the position but Hollace is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hollace uses his free foot to push down on Barnes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Barnes.
