Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marquinho Pirassununga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Rocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pirassununga moves into the clinch.
Rocket changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pirassununga fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rocket dives in and grabs Pirassununga's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pirassununga pushes down on Rocket's head and hops out.

Rocket bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rocket wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pirassununga keeps working.

Marquinho Pirassununga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kid Rocket.

Rocket tries for a takedown but Pirassununga sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Rocket changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pirassununga tries to avoid it but Rocket manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pirassununga to the ground. Pirassununga escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pirassununga clinches up with Rocket and pushes him back against the cage.

Pirassununga breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pirassununga leaves Rocket with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pirassununga avoids the head kick by Rocket.

Rocket takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Kid Rocket has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pirassununga drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Pirassununga has hold of Rocket's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Rocket seems comfortable defending it but Pirassununga has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Rocket is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Rocket is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pirassununga couldn't care less - he's delighted!
