The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thorsen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Winner is not content to let Thorsen control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Winner can do anything to dispel that myth.
Winner is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Thorsen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I looks like Winner might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Thorsen shoots in for a double leg but Winner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
